The next store update will be Saturday, 10/23/21 at noon Central time.

Virtual Rhinebeck 2021

We will be participating in the Dutchess County Sheep and Wool Festival (aka Rhinebeck) virtually this year. Shopping will be done via Zoom. There will be spindles, fiber, and some spindle/fiber sets.

For those of you who shopped via Zoom last year, you may know that we had a backlog of people especially at the beginning of the first day. A lot of customers were waiting for over an hour, some dropped while waiting, and there was a lot of confusion for those who were waiting. So this year, rather than having everyone all trying to get on first thing, we’re going to try something different and have sign ups for 15-minute time slots. We hope this will also give those going to the physical show a chance to enjoy the show and still sign up for a time that is convenient for them to shop with us. We know this also isn’t a perfect solution because those with the earliest slots will have a better selection, so the first 8 slots on Saturday (from 9 am to 11 am) will be via lottery.

The time slots are during the same times as the physical festival, 9 am to 5 pm Eastern on Saturday and 9 am to 4 pm on Sunday. For those not in the US, please note Eastern is one hour later than the Central time zone we are in. If that’s confusing, you can use this website to convert Eastern to your local time (New York is in the Eastern time zone).

To sign up for a time slot, click here. The email is optional - it’s just so we have a way to contact you if needed. Also, please note any part of the document can be edited by anyone. Please be careful to enter only your information in an empty slot and not to delete or edit another entry.

If you would like to sign up for the lottery for the first slots on Saturday from 9 am to 11 am, click here to sign up on our Ravelry group.

Please note it’s OK to sign up for a specific time slot AND for the lottery. If your name is chosen for the lottery, we will remove your name from the time slot you chose so someone else can take it if they’d like. The lottery drawing will take place Wednesday evening and then the Google spreadsheet will be updated to include the 9 am to 11 am time slots on Saturday.

The Zoom link is not yet available. When it is, it will be on the Sheep and Wool site here. Scroll down a bit to the Woodland Woodworking entry where it says “click here for the Zoom link.”
